I’ve been thinking. A LOT. To the point where I think I’m going to smell the smoke coming from my ears any minute now because the gears feel a little rusty and the massive amounts of cobwebs have gummed things up a bit.

This is a random listing for my own benefit of some of the things on my mind:

  • Web 2.0
  • Library 2.0
  • time management for professional development
  • public library card policies for children/minors
  • understanding my role as a children’s librarian in a public library
  • children and technology
  • the role of small-town libraries
  • the meaning of serving the community: do we only do as the majority asks (even if it means staying the same/in the dark ages), or is our role to help expose patrons to new things and drive the community forward?

Anyways… it’s not just thinking. It’s researching here and there and asking questions and seeing what kinds of resources and opinions I can find, or just figuring out what exactly/approximately they are. I’m jotting things down and getting ideas… But if you know of any resources, posts, etc. that fit any of these wonderings, I’d love to know!
